West Union Build Kicks Off

The New Year found construction crew volunteers hard at work on Oconee County Habitat for Humanity’s newest subdivision in West Union.  This build, on Eastpointe Drive, will allow fifteen hardworking families to own their own home and with that, the stability and security that homeownership can provide.  Many of the future homeowners in this neighborhood have worked together building other Habitat families’ homes and have already formed a sense of community and friendship as they work on their future homes.  This project is expected to take approximately two and one-half years to complete with the first home available for occupancy in this fall.
